I’ve acquired some new books in the last couple of weeks so I decided to join in with Stacking the Shelves today to share my book haul!
I’m really trying to reduce my TBR this year but I couldn’t resist buying a few books this week so here is my latest book haul…
The Girls Who Went Away by Ann Fessler
This is one of those books that I stumbled across when browsing online and it sounded so interesting that I immediately ordered it. I hope to read this one soon.
Your Closest Friend by Karen Perry
I’ve read and enjoyed Karen Perry’s books in the past so when I spotted this new one at the bargain price of 99p for Kindle I immediately downloaded it.
Missing Pieces by Laura Pearson
I’ve seen some wonderful reviews of this book on some of my favourite blogs recently and I’ve been meaning to see if it was available on NetGalley but on Thursday this week I noticed it was release day so I treated myself to a copy. This sounds like it could be a really emotional read but it’s definitely one I want to read very soon.
Less by Andrew Sean Greer
I’ve heard so much about this book and always been intrigued but somehow haven’t bought a copy. So when one day this week I spotted it on the kindle daily deal I snapped it up. I don’t know when I’ll get to read this but hopefully it won’t wait too long.
The Chosen One by Howard Linskey
I’ve read some great reviews of this book and saw the author tweet that the book is 99p on kindle at the moment so I immediately downloaded a copy. I think this is part of a series and I can’t remember where I’m up to but I hope to read this one soon anyway.
Nutmeg by Maria Goodin
I was sent a review copy of this book just yesterday and it’s such a beautiful looking book that I can’t wait to start reading. It sounds like a moving and magical novel so I’m keen to start it.

Nothing new in this week *win* and I’ve been reading quite a lot recently. I’ve got the side pile back onto my own TBR shelf now, so that’s another win Some intriguing books here!
You’ve done well to not acquire any books in the week, I’m impressed! I seem to have fallen off the wagon where book buying goes and am acquiring them faster than I can read them again. My TBR is still (slightly) smaller than at the start of the year though which I’m very happy about.
I so hope you enjoy Missing Pieces. Make sure you have enough tissues!

Was just about to say just read the review of Missing Pieces on Novel Delights and it sounds too tough a read for me emotionally! The Nutmeg book is so beautiful (you said that so actually I’ve nothing constructive to add at all-sorry!!) hope you enjoy all:)
It does sound like a real weepy – I’ll be keeping it to read when I’m by myself so it won’t matter if I ugly cry. I can’t wait to start Nutmeg, it sounds wonderful.

I read the Impossible Lives of Greta Wells by Andrew Sean Greer a few years ago and thought it was excellent. I can see why you’d want to add Less to your pile. Looks like my pile just got one book taller too! Happy reading!
I think I have that book on my TBR and didn’t realise it was the same author! If I enjoy Less I’ll have to make sure I bump his other book to the top of my TBR. Thank you 🙂

I have a couple from NetGalley and also brought some Amazon. I actually read 3 of them between my ARCs. I will posting my reviews on my blog.
