WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It’s open for anyone to join in and is a great way to share what you’ve been reading!
Current Reads
I just started reading My Mother, Munchausen’s and Me by Helen Naylor last night so haven’t got very far into it as yet but I can already tell that it’s going to be an engrossing and emotional read.
I’ve been sorting out my kindle and audiobooks this week and am going to try and read some of the older books that I own so I started listening to Dreams from My Father by Barack Obama which I’ve owned since 2008! I’m enjoying this book, which Obama himself narrates.
My current festive read is The Little Christmas House by Tracy Rees and I am loving this one! It feels so cosy and festive and it’s my kind of Christmas book.
I’ve also read another couple of chapters of Woke Up This Morning by Michael Imperioli this week and am still very much enjoying this one.
Recent Reads
I’ve had Just Me by Sheila Hancock on my Audible shelf since 2009 so since it’s NonFiction November I thought it was the right time to listen to it. I enjoyed this one but wish I’d listened to it closer to the time I bought it.
I then read The Silver Bells Christmas Pantomime by Lynsey James, which has also been on my TBR for a while. I previously loved The Broken Hearts Book Club and this book absolutely lives up to that one. I’m kicking myself for not reading it sooner.
I’ve also been listening to The Romanovs: 1613 – 1918 by Simon Sebag Montefiore and have found this to be so engrossing and fascinating. I learnt so much from this book and this time in history and am so pleased that I finally got to this book.
Another Christmas book that I read this week was The Perfect Christmas Gift by Katie Ginger. I enjoyed this one but it didn’t feel quite as festive as I was hoping it would be.
I adored Christmas at the Beach Hut by Veronica Henry though, this was lovely and festive and gave me all of the feels this week!
What I Might Read Next
I’m fully into my festive reading now so this week I hope to read two more Christmas books from my NetGalley shelf: Eight Days of Christmas by Starla DeKruyf and The Postbox at the North Pole by Jaimie Admans. I’m excited toread both of these books. I’d also like to make a start on Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult as that’s also on my NetGalley shelf and it due to be published in the next couple of weeks.
What are you reading at the moment? I’d love to know 🙂
You have several tempting books. I want to read Wish You Were Here. Here’s MY WWW POST

I loved listening to Barack Obama’s A Promised Land on audio, he has a great reading voice as well as interesting things to say. I hope Dreams From My Father is equally as good.

I enjoyed Post Box at the North Pole. I hope you do too! Lots of lovely Christmas reads 😍 I never get tired of those covers. Happy reading!
Well done for getting the Christmas books in – mine are building up and I always start too late! I’m still in the middle of Saga Land by Richard Fidler and Kari Gislason (but will finish it tonight or tomorrow morning) and The End of Bias, a NetGalley book by Jessica Nordell, which is giving some concrete examples of how bias has been corrected. Next up, a million novellas I need to get round to but no, I have to read two big books!
You’re getting a ton of holiday books in! I need to start reading more.
Great selection! You make me want to start with my Christmas reads as well… I normally wait until December, but I’m not sure if I can resist them that long. Have a wonderful week and happy reading!
I have A Promised Land but it looks daunting. Dreams from My Father might be a gentler way for me to get to know Omama.
